What is spalling brick repair?
Spalling repair replaces brick whose face is popping off in flakes or chunks, and deals with the water that caused it. Spalling comes from water soaking in and freezing, or from a hard sealer or hard mortar trapping moisture inside a soft brick.
The water source is usually a failed crown, a missing cap, open joints, or masonry never made to shed water — and replacing brick without finding it does the same thing again.
